Cut in back for our bi-wire TD-cup (not included).
Front baffle is painted black, all other sides are veneered with real Natural Cherry wood veneer.
The finish is smooth, no wood grain texture.
The grill will allow for a usable driver surface mount area that is:
13-3/16" tall (335mm) by 7-1/2" wide (190.5mm)
The back of the grill frame has been routed in order to accommodate larger woofer frames.
Precut baffles are available for this cabinet.
The MDF used in these speakers is so dense that the pressure fit protrusions on the 2" flared ported won't compress into the wood. You need to cut these off with a razor blade before gluing the port into place. Glue should be applied to the inside edge of the baffle hole, not the recessed part, so that glue doesn't squirt out when you stick the port in. Ports are not included with the baffle.
