The Illuminator woofers are based on compact under-hung motor systems with large neodymium ring magnets. The patent pending motor offers a very long linear excursion together with a very high force factor. The top plate is shaped to "guide" the backside airflow around the motor and with the very open cast aluminum chassis design the driver is virtually free from compression.

• This full range 8 inch driver has a paper cone with papyrus fibers to optimize stiffness and damping, and high frequency whizzer cone perfectly matched to the cone.
• Special foam rubber surround that reduces mass of surround by 40% compared to regular rubber surrounds, which results in higher sensitivity for the driver, and excellent damping properties.
• New GVD technology is combined with an extremely open weave spider. The threads in the weave are woven together in a way that makes the spider silent. In other words, the noise from the threads rubbing together is completely gone. The open weave is practically fully acoustically transparent and resonance problems caused by traditional spiders are reduced to a minimum.

• 27TBFC/GTV is a High Definition metal dome Tweeters with a wide, soft polymer surround and a shielded magnet system with a rear chamber.
• Aluminum/magnesium alloy diaphragm with pistonic behavior throughout the audible frequency range, resulting in a good dispersion also above 10kHz.
• A Hexagrid protects the diaphragm, and supports a phase plate which compensates for a slight axial roll off towards 20 kHz.
• Sonomax surround for low resonance and excellent mechanical linearity. The shielded magnet system allows use in close proximity to CRT screens.
